Renzo is Five !

My most awaited pictorial shoot happened last March 22, my youngest son's 5th birthday.  We were both excited to do his birthday pictorial.  We shot his photos in a nearby playground near Al Falah Street, just a walking distance from our residence.  Renzo was so happy playing and running around with his Baymax mask and his Baymax launching fist.  He was on character, pretending he was really his favorite Baymax, flying around in action.  The session was really a playtime session,  it was an easy breezy pictorial knowing that Renzo was really having fun, and all I had to do was to follow him and watch him around , and to just keep on snapping.  My son had a blast on his birthday and that's the most important of all to me.

Back at home, I shot some more photos of him just to complete his birthday album.

And here are some of my son's wonderful snapshots....:D

Markus at 9 Months

I had the chance meeting and taking the photographs of a very cute and soo adorable baby boy named Markus. Meeting his mom, Mommy Ren, was such a delight too. She  is a real nice person, very cool, very accommodating, and just  like with Markus, I also have gotten along so well with her very quickly.  Markus was still sleeping soundly when we arrived (we arrived a little too early, that's why). But, it was not long when he woke up and finally saw me and my husband and our 2 kids..(the whole family :D)  All in all, we  had soo much fun doing  that Friday morning  photoshoot with them.

Here are sample pictures of that session.

Dinah's Baby Bump

Jacob Dion...this will be the name of Jerome and Dinah's upcoming bundle of joy.   And last March 6, we had a great and a really fun time doing their  pictorial.  It took place at the Corniche Beach, but before we touched the white sands, we had our first shots at the grass-covered walk near the beach.  The couple posed happily for me which made the whole session a very memorable one for all of us. The weather was cool and sunny which was a very good thing and  Dinah, at 29 weeks, really gave her all , making the whole photoshoot a lovely and a  perfect  one.

And here are some sample shots of our happy maternity session.

One Happy Reader, One Happy Mom

Nowadays, It has already become a routine of Franco and I, to go to the bookstore right after we're through with our trip to the grocery   My son  enjoys the food treats at the grocery, but he enjoys more, the treats he will have for our next stop.  For Franco, a cool treat means getting a cool book or any age-appropriate reading materials, which are up for grabs at the bookstore.  He is also always looking forward to the new issues (even the back issues) of his favorite , most awesome magazine (according to him).  He also collects magazines of superheroes and even this magazine of a cool red race car. He has all sorts of comic books too.    MOst importantly, he is THE number one fan of all kinds of robots (most especially the well-loved Transformers)  He talks about robots, draws robots, builds toy robots , he would even imagine his toy blocks as robots, and always loves to play pretend - - that he himself is a robot!   It is a fact that young boys adore robots, but Franco fancies robots soooo much that he said he likes to become a Robotics Engineer!  Wow....that would be really really cool, I told him.   Im simply happy and glad that at this early, he seems to know the path he wants to take in the near future.

I have to say, that Franco has improved so much on his reading skills when i started giving into the things he likes, like the comic books...  his imagination too and his artistic side flourished dramatically, so to speak.  He draws a lot and he loves to write.  He even  has his own comic strips, and many doodles and scribbles which are piling up already, as well.   It is  a good thing that he knows what he wants. This made me realize that it is not bad to expose my son to comic books, which are about his favorite cartoon characters.  Because that really was the starting point of  his love for reading , which I think could play a major role in shaping his motivation of what he really wants to become. And as of this writing, he levels up his love for books with titles that are new and interesting.   I am sure his love for books and reading will continue for he is an explorer and a discoverer.   And as his mother,  I will support him and guide him  as he works his way to his dreams and ambitions., because his passion is ALSO my passion.

Pictures ... unlimited

Today is not an exception, from those days that I have been truly totally missing my husband.    I thought I got used to  the setup already, that he works far away and goes on a yearly vacation.  I thought  I have surpassed those crucial times, when loneliness would really hit me hard .  But double is the loneliness now, because ours are two kids already,  and both are growing really too fast every day. Well i think this should give me a lesson,  I really should  be stopping  my hobby of browsing and then staring at our family photo albums every so often.  BUT hey on the contrary, I should be telling you that there is a big difference now from the way i look at our photos . There will always be a great tinge of sadness while Im at it again, But i become more and more excited and hopeful because the ultimacy of my dream becomes even nearer   Well I admit that during those times that he was  not with us, yes we havent got any pictures or memories for the time being.  But whenever he is here with us, we always have the most unforgettable bonding moments we could imagine.  Endless huggings, long talks, playing with the kids, and having a great laugh and just being funny and just savoring the time of being together, really made our days  We would have the cutest and funniest pictures ever, and we plan to take tons and tons of pictures when we are altogether again....reunited.

I have a prayer and a dream, that one day soon , when He gives us the go-signal already, (which Im sure He will,  because we've been good little boy and girl..:D )....we will finally experience 24/7 bonding moments and we will have all the time in the world for oirselves, and thus, I will get to compile the thickest photo album ever.  Isnt that sooooo real good? I know it surely is going to be....one day soon.

An Extraordinary Feeling

There is going to be a United Nations Day at my son's school, on the 25th of this month.  Aside from the UN Day celebration, All Saints Day too is going to be celebrated, on that same day.   Honestly,  I was the more excited one here.  I found myself too excited into doing the "props" needed for that activity.  And by the way,  a small amount of research has to be done first before proceeding with the props-making.  Well, it is a celebration of saints, celebration of the life of those few ordinary people who led an extraordinary life for the love of God.   Therefore I had to find out the saints whose feastdays fall on the birthdays of each one of us in the family, but putting more focus on Franco's saint.  You see, I actually drew Blessed John XXIII of Rome (feast day is on June 3).  And this drawing has to be placed on Franco's chest during the Parade of Flags, so that everybody could see.  And yes the flag, I made the flag of Italy to complete the picture.

I have to say, my creativity and artistic side,  were put to a little test by doing all those props.  But I saw him, I saw my son admiring me from a distance while i was fully involved with my masterpiece drawings....Of course, I would be supporting him whenever he needs me, I would try to be the  mom always supportive of her sons, always more than willing and happy to serve them both.

It warms my heart knowing my son appreciates even the littlest of my so-called talents, but really, nothing compares when he would always  make me feel so extraordinary,  even if I know that I am just his ordinary mom.   oh well,  Im sure it's gonna be a  whole lot of fun come Thursday.......
